Coclé, Panama
Coclé is two hours from Panama City and the easiest nature escape from the capital. El Valle de Antón sits inside the crater of a dormant volcano, with trails like La India Dormida, hot springs, a craft market and waterfalls all around. The Coclé coast — Farallón, Santa Clara — has wide golden-sand beaches.
