When to go
The dry season (mid-December to mid-April) is best for trails, waterfalls and beaches, with clear skies especially on the Pacific side. The rainy season (May to November) leaves forests greener and rivers fuller, with heavy but short afternoon downpours. The Caribbean coast (Bocas, Guna Yala) can see rain year-round; September and October are usually the driest months there.

Panama's tourist areas are generally calm during the day.
